It is the start of a seven-day countdown when I began to write this, tomorrow is an eclipse and Saturday we stand for nation’s freedom. Whether you agree with my religious views or oppose them, one thing we can agree on is that this nation was never built to limit us. It was built to give us the freedoms to teach our children as we want, and live our faith out loud, not be snuffed out by those who seek to control us. We are the longest running government because we are ran BY and FOR the people not under a powerful dictator. The Lord gave me this message in particular to remind me that this is not a battle I can win, and this is not a battle that will succeed if I do not spend it praising His name through it all.This time I just going to write it out. A: “Follow Me”

The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty, let all the earth rejoice. I keep fallin in love, fallin in love with you. Let us become more aware of your presence, to hear your voice when the music fades, and all is stripped away, and I simply come. I want to know you Lord like I know a friend. When I’m walkin’ through the valley, your presence is all around me. There’s a table you prepared for me in the presence of my enemies: it’s your body and your blood you shed for me. To call you friend, longing just to bring You something that’s of worth, that will bless Your heart. I want to know You Lord like I know a friend. I want to know You lord, so I’m laying down my religion. Nothing sands between me and my God. This is how I fight my battles. I want more of You God, set a fire down in my soul that I can’t contain, that I can’t control. I live, to worship You. He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles. “Just let Me be a light to your path in this season,” Your light is breaking through the dark, we’re walking into deeper waters, going after You. Fear will not conquer me, oh I belong to Jesus. In the depths of Your love, I find peace makes me whole. You came to bring us liberty. Darkness tries to hide and trembles at His voice. I keep fallin’ in love, faliin’ in love. Let us become more aware of your presence, to know your thoughts, King of endless worth. I’m laying down, I want to know You Lord. The fear that was my prison is no longer where I’m livin’.In the valley, I know You’re with me. I want more of you God, to worship You I live. Every knee will bow before our God, the lamb, “Let me be the light that illuminates the way that you should go.” This love is sweeter than wine, we’re falling into deeper waters. Let us experience the glory of Your goodness. I feel You breathing. All I have is Yours, I want to know You lord. When the ground is shaking my joy cannot be taken, nothing stands between me and my God. This is how I fight my battles. We want more of You, so much more of You God. I live to worship You. Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb. “I’ve made a way out of darkness so come and follow me.” Your hope is rising like the dawn, I find peace makes me whole. Your blood has covered every sin, beginning and the end. Every cell of my body was made to love You Lord. Nothing else matters, to worship You I live. Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb. “I will light the path that You lead.” Your grace empowers me to win. The Godhead three in one. I love loving You, this is waht I was made for. You’re closer than I thought was possible. Every single breathe Lord I live, been told to be ashamed, Lord. I’ve been told I don’t measure up. Lord I’ve been told I’m not good enough., but You’re here with me, I’m looking to Jesus through a veil that torn to peices, cause’ nothing stands between me and my God. I live to worship You. “I will light the path that you follow, follow come follow.” My pain and oppression met Your blood and my acceptance, Father, Spirit, Son. Just to love and be loved by You. “Come follow” Now I’m alive to bring You praise. The lion and the lamb, this is what I was made for. Just to love and be loved by You.

B: “Dance with me”

I see it clear now, You’re all around me in every little thing. Away, away from the noise, I; coming back to the heart of worship. It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You. No place I’d rather be. I love, I love, I love your presence. “I will light the path that You lead.” There’s nothing worth more that will ever come close. Where the spirit of the lord is there is freedom. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. Year after year, day after day, moment by moment. Who can top the Lord almighty? I will rejoice in the simple gospel. It’s like I’m living for the first time. When the rains fell, when the floods came, when the wind blew, I was OK. The more I seek you the more I find you. How great is our God? We’re stirring up deep, deep wells. Where can I go now to flee your presence? Alone with you away, a_way to hear your voice. It’s all about you Jesus. I’m surrounded by you. Here in your love, I love, I love, I love you Jesus. “I will light the path that you follow” Nothing can compare, we’ll be dancin’ through the darkness ’cause we believe every chain is broken through You Jesus. When the night falls, when my heart aches the more I seek You the more I find You. How great is Our God? We’re gonna dance in the river, breathtaking wonder in every color. You’re showing off to me. Nothing else matters, my one desire is Jesus, it’s all about You Jesus. It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You. No place I’d rather be. I love, I love, I love You Jesus. I’ve tasted and seen the sweetest of love. Where the spirit of the lord is there is freedom. The more of You I see, the more of Your love. Who can stop the Lord almighty? I will rejoice in the simple gospel, finally living for the first time. If I stumble, I will not break. The more I find You, the more I love You. All will see how Great is our God? “Dance in the river”, You come like thunder, then a gentle whisper. Away from all the noise. It may look like I’m surrounded here in Your love. I love, I love, I love your presence. When my heart becomes free, and my shame is undone. I love this relationship of fallen in love with my Jesus. Who can stop the Lord almighty? I will rejoice in the Lord. It’s like I’m livin’ for the first time. If He goes to the left, then we’ll go to the left. Your found in everything. Alone with You, away to hear Your voice and meet with You, I’m surrounded by you here in Your love, Your presence Lord. I keep fallin’ in love year after year, day after day, moment by moment. Who can stop the Lord almighty? Finally living for the first time. You’ll be right there, You’re in every step I take. If He goes to the right, then we’ll go to the right. It’s been a while but hear my heart cry again. You keep running after me, thank you year after year, day after day. You’re my shepherd, you’re my keeper, my provider, my protector. We’re gonna Jump-jump, jump-jump in the river. You keep pursuing my heart, even when I was far away You come running after me. Thank you. You surround me, You’re in every step I take. Watch the lies break off, watch the enemies flee. I reach out and you find me in the dust. This is what you do, when I feel the fear come, I won’t run away. My heart melts like wax when He comes close. You’re the name aboe all names. “I’m seen” Kings and Kingdoms will bow down. A fountain that will never run dry, come flood this place fill the atmosphere. I want more, I’m free to shout it out: Oh,Oh,oh, Jesus, oh (I wanna) drink from the cup in your hands. For crying out loud, You will illuminate the road before me. For a song in itself is not what you require. This is how I fight my battles with my hand held high. Watch the walls come crumbling down when the people of God sing. You say no amount of untruths can seperate us. This is what You do, Even in the valleys, your presence is enough. My beloved, my heart melts like wax when He comes close. You are worthy of our praise, “I’m known.” Every chain will break as broken hearts declare His praise. It’s open heaven You’re releasing. What our hearts long for. I want more, I am free to just sing. “Lay back against me, “this love that He has given you was never in doubt. I trust You; You will illuminate the road before me. You searched deeper within through the way things appear. This is how I fight my battles. Hear the heavenly roar of every heart set free. I reach out and You make me come alive. Come, follow” You’re looking into my heart. This is how I fight my battles with my hand held high. Hear the chains of shame hit the ground. I reach out and You find me in the dust. You make me come alive. Oh, Your presence is enough. With every word that You speak my heart melts like wax when He comes close. My father, oh God, my father, open up the gates, make way for the King of KIngs, “The deep cries out to you.” I’m gonna worship you. This love is so deep, it’s more that I can stand. So I will follow. No one could express how much You deserve. This is how I fight my battles. You say no amount of untruths can separate us. Fallin in live again day after day, moment by moment I keep fallin’ in love. Our God who calls the saved is here to set the captives free. We cry out, melt in Your peace, it’s overwhelming. This is how I fight my battles, with my hands held high. This is what You wanted. This is what You wanted on the mountain. Who can stop the lord almighty? We cry out to you Jesus. It’s what You wanted on the crossbeam. Just a heart that’s fully in love. It what you always wanted. Two of these songs, though familiar are not considered Christian. I always find these messages to be more fun because He can still uses it for Glory. Everything is His, those ideas come from somewhere greater. Soon we are going to see an age of ideas reborn. This message reminds us that yes heaven is far from here, but He also gave us authority to call it down to earth at any point. You don’t have to go to church to experience God. You just have ask him to be there.

This message is inspired by an outline given by my Pastor at Rez Church at Crossroads in Loveland Colorado. His messages are available on Youtube if you would like more details, the particular message I believe happened on 10/8 over the 5 C’s: Confession, Consecration, Connection, Creation and Correction. I felt the Lord connecting the concepts to songs: Defender- confession, I cannot do it alone, In Control- Consecration, declaring it is not my way but yours, Rest- connection, it is the key to intimacy with God, Throne room- Creation, Jesus made everything and sacrificed everything for us, The more I seek you-Correction, spending time with God is how you become more like Christ. I put this aside for a while, I recorded these back in late October. Later as the year went on I added two more songs and C’s. Living hope- Compliance, in order to stop the rollercoaster of worry you must cling to God’s promises and presence and Back to life- Completion- it was finished on the cross, we are saved through Jesus Christ. I finally felt I was supposed to start tackling this message on the first of the year. Some of it may sound familiar if you read my first post titled Rest in me. The first the songs are part of the first message God ever gave me so it seems fitting as we circle around to my first-year anniversary submitted to God that He would Complete the message for me. I do want to start with some vocabulary definitions first so you can understand the message in its entirety.

Throne Room- You rendered heaven, the veil was torn in two- rendered in regard to fat means melted in, or to separate out impurities, in regard to stone it means covered with a coat of plaster. So, when God rendered Heaven, He separated Heaven from Earth AND covered Heaven with the blood of the lamb. When He tore the veil and paid for our sins, we became a part of that rendering. Now HE is purifying us and covering us.

Throne Room- (Kari Jobe is always making me think with her vocabulary choices) It’s the anthem of praise, I am the anthem of praise- uplifting song identified with a particular group, body, or cause; a choral composition (song) based on biblical passage (the word). It’s the song of the word and good news. We are the ambassadors of praise and the word of God (Jesus!)

He sings over us as much as we sing onto Him. The anthem is not one way but two. What is He speaking over you?

Sometimes songs that don’t generally sound inherently Christian, can still have messages from God. In this example, I give you “White Christmas” which yes, it is based on Christmas but doesn’t really mention Jesus or God. However, when I listened to it a few weeks ago and, with the help of another, the holy spirit revealed to me a hidden message. Here are the Lyrics:

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. Where the tree tops glisten and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow. I’m dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write. May your days be merry and white; and may all your Christmases be white.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas: White is the color of purity, cleanliness, it is commonly used to describe Christians in the bible because they are cleansed of sin by Jesus blood through accepting Him into their hearts and His sacrifice on the cross. Christmas, the word itself, actually derives from the two words: Christ Mass. Mass refers to a religious service, specifically those who take communion in remembrance of what Jesus did for them. So White Christmas refers to the Church of Christ.

Just like the ones I used to know: this make me think of Revelations 2:5 (NIV) Look at how far you’ve fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. The passion translation says ” do the works of love you did at first”. It is a call to the people to return to their first love, Jesus, and not hide in their works, attempting to earn their way into Heaven.

Where the tree tops glisten: Trees in the bible commonly refer to people. When a plant glistens, it commonly means it is healthy. Healthy trees are fruitful. Fruitful trees are fruits of the Holy Spirit, those who express those fruits spread the good news.

and Children listen: Children refers to the Children of God, those obedient to His word.

to hear sleigh bells in the snow: Hearing is how we receive faith. What we hear affects how we think and then how we feel. It is a door to the soul. Sleigh bells are victory bells. I can’t help but think of the end of polar express, when the boy hears the bells sound for the first time after believing in Santa. In fact, that whole movie is the story of a person finding faith, despite what the world teaches them, When I think of any bell and how we have used them in the past, they are often a celebration of victory. In this case it represents victory in the blood (of Jesus).

with every Christmas card I write: so applying church in place of Christmas we have church card. I also think of how most Christmas card ‘s are normally a type of love letter between family members. Both these ideas point me towards the BIble. It is God’s love letter to us and actually contains many letters to specific churches.

may you days be merry and bright: merry is another word for Joy and brightness is a side effect of being filled with the Lord’s presence as well as when we live a faith filled life

and may all your Christmas’s be white: I think this is personal and corporately. As a believer, may you always stay clean of sin (surrender everyday to Jesus) and all your Churches corporately follow the Holy Spirit and stay righteous.

God speaking translated: I’m dreaming of Christ’s church, who’s focus is on Jesus and love more than anything else. Children of God who are fruitful and obedient to my word, who listen for me and believe victory is already mine. I’m dreaming of a sinfully cleansed Church with every Love letter of the Bible I write. May you choose Joy and overflow with my presence and may you always follow me and stay righteous.

At this point I am going to site the music, and if anyone wants more details on how it works, feel free to ask. This message is composed of 6 songs, it started by hearing a version of So Will I without lyrics and finding myself singing The Dove. It was actually easier to hear it without the lyrics. I even confirmed it by running bits of track of So Will I and the Dove over each other. It was great confirmation once more that what I am doing is in fact God sent. Sometimes it is beyond my comprehension how many of these I find, I have not been able to decipher more than 5% of them. He feeds certain songs to me occasionally, it seems like YouTube autoplay is broken until I hear the word he wants me to grasp.

I add this paragraph days later and I laugh because He did it again. He played a song type over and over and over until I got the message. It just makes me think of Chris Vallotton’s mention of the burning bush and how many days it took Moses to notice it for what it was, a bush, still burning, unconsumed. It’s a reminder to think eternally, to slow down, especially in this season and just try and see things from a larger perspective.

In light of thanksgiving, it is time to take a look at our heart posture. It can be so easy to get lost in the chaos of life during this time and it is important to remember a few things. We should remember to appreciate what we have and to give anything we can. I’m not even talking financially, you can give you time, a meal shared, a smile. The littlest act of kindness is especially around a time where it’s hard to think beyond our own to do list can make a major difference in someone’s day, week, year, even life. Don’t forget that the whole purpose of this time of year is community, family and friends, and love. Love your neighbor, love your enemy, Love your God. I keep getting the push to share this message, even though it is a newer one I have discovered. I found a much larger message I have not yet put together that these songs are part of but while I was putting the larger message together I noticed the entire songs of these four all matched up. It is the story of Jesus sacrifice, our salvation He paid for and the importance of never forgetting what He has done to break the power of the enemy from us. All sickness, curses, fear have no power in HIs presence. He is the name above all names.

This is a lesson we all have to learn more than once. To surrender our desires, our emotions, our need to control things, to our God. This is actually the first song message He gave me. I remember the pure joy I felt in finding it. After I had found rest in Him He gave me this message along with these words ” When the storm is raging, remember I am with you, restoring you, loving you.” At first, I found In Control and Defender, my mother actually was given the third song, I believe while researching the first message I had given her. I will give you what I originally had and then with the third song added: Rest.
